Phoenix Empowering was founded in May 2020 by Ocea Garriock.
Ocea Garriock is the Founder and Managing Director of Phoenix Empowering. Her deep-rooted passion for individual enablement and growth drives her to help others realise their full potential. She is an articulate, engaging and authentic public speaker and workshop facilitator who leverages different event platforms to motivate and inspire. Ocea, through her organization, shares her skills and knowledge thus developing, coaching and mentoring emerging leaders, with a special focus on young female talent as well.
Ocea has a strong corporate background having spent over 30 years at IBM, Oracle and Strategic Solution Architects, amongst other organizations, where she fulfilled several leadership and development roles. With a deep background in Database Management and Analytics, Ocea has helped many clients to gain insights from their data for competitive advantage. Her international experience, gained through spending 3 years in Singapore assisting in the development of a start-up in Analytics and Governance, ensures that she has a global perspective. She has motivated and led many large high-performance teams to success and looks to continue empowering high potential individuals within organizations through her coaching and Inspired Leadership Development training.
Ocea leverages her Women@Work event series to fulfil her passion of enabling women thus providing a platform to collaborate and explore possibilities with the support of other women. Additionally she has coached and mentored young female talent in her various career roles, and continues to empower young girls seeking a long-term career.
